There are ZERO pro's to working at TMC. You're not even a number to these people; the truck is a number. You're no different than one of the tires on the truck to them...disposable and easily replaced.
Cons
Where to even start....I'll just keep this short. If you want to work close to 100 hrs a week, get home late Fri night / early Sat morning and be back out on Sunday, go for it. You MIGHT make $14 - $16 / hr when all is said and done. Cheap rates; long delays; slow, under powered, base model trucks; crap dispatchers / managers; LOTS of unpaid hrs / requirements; harassment, coersion, and intimidation is rampant for the sake of picking up unsafe loads and wanting you to violate hours of service / driving hrs to do it. These guys will use and abuse you and then charge you $600 when you leave to clean their truck that you had cleaned at one of their required locations immediately before turning it in. You have bo value to these people other than to hold the steering wheel and be blamed for everything they throw at you.
