Pros

People don't really care wether you are a bad employee or not, so you can be doing nothing for many years to come! welcome to the mediocre nation!

Cons

Management is mean with their employees, and since everything has to be approve by Aldo, nothing gets done the right way, you are forced to do things the mediocre way. You will be bullied and you will not be compensated accordingly.

Thanks for your review and feedback. It is helpful to look at issues we've had and see how we have improved. Since this review was written, TLN Media Group (TMG) became an independent broadcaster (not under Corus). We moved to a new, bright, open concept office with snacks, espresso, foosball table, and more! And the leadership team is more engaged and open to new ideas and initiatives than ever before. TMG values inclusion, respect, and diversity--we're proud of the people we have at TMG and the amazing work that they do together.

Pros

Great at getting responses back from emails within 10 days

Cons

Poor communication, did not provide a contract (said they would), keep giving work out with tight deadlines but do not respond effectively making it hard to do job. CONTRACTORS/ CONSULTANTS - get or provide a signed contract before you do anything - do not trust these people. They will pass on unpaid work as "internship".

We appreciate your feedback and review. We read these and, while we don't always respond, we do learn a lot from these and it helps us improve. We're sorry that you didn't have a good experience at TLN Media Group (TMG). We work with a number of contractors and consultants who continue to work with us on projects over the course of many years. We really strive to make everyone feel included as part of the TMG family, whether they are an employee, contractor, consultant, or freelancer. We will look into our review and approval workflows to correct any issues that create bottlenecks on priority work.

Pros

- Incredible coworkers. Truly the best part of the job. It genuinely feels like a family. - Great place to start a media career and gain exposure to different areas of the industry. - Opportunity to explore multiple roles and learn various sides of production and media operations.

Cons

- Upper management lacks transparency and does not consistently support staff when new challenges come up. - Ideas are not always credited, and accountability can feel one-sided. - Recent years have brought stricter policies around workplace freedoms (e.g., breaks), which had a huge impact in employees morale. - Employees are often encouraged to take on multiple roles, which can feel more like filling staffing gaps than professional development. - Limited long-term growth opportunities. - New ideas are often met with resistance rather than encouragement. - "That's the way it's always been done" mentality.
