Pros

Great place to work! Lots of different interesting projects and a great team atmosphere. Very high-level engineers in many disciplines, so lots to learn from your co-workers and also close working relationships with lead engineers. The company also handled COVID really well, transitioning to remote work and still keeping all the projects on track really quickly. Was really impressed to see that deeply care about the health of all employees,

Cons

Smaller company so not all the side perks of bigger places but still good benefits.

Cons

Recently was laid off. Would come back if given the opportunity

Pros

TLG Aerospace is probably the few places currently that are truly great for working as an engineer (specifically as an aerospace engineer). Pros include: * LOTS of various and interesting projects (new space launch systems, electric airplanes, commercial airplanes, aerospace tooling, hypersonic regime aircraft, and even small private aircraft) * Very Flexible work options (remote work and flexible working options fine as long as you get work done) * Building professional relationships all throughout the aerospace community Also they have many minor benefits that while small are sincere and much appreciated (especially when compared to other industry leaders): * Generous end of Year Bonuses (basically shared profit to employees) * Free snacks for people who come into the office * A few nice employee events including a Summer Luncheon and a very nice Holiday Party Also if you live in Seattle, this is one of the few places inside Seattle for Aerospace Engineers to actually work in a place that isn't a warehouse out in the boonies. Having actual windows with a view of the South Lake Union is actually a huge draw.

Cons

I'd say these benefits are truly earned. As a small company, the management really needs everyone to perform at the utmost caliber. This means engineers will have to deal with the following: * Very little on the job training for engineers, expectation that you will drink from the firehose * As consultants to larger clients, we don't necessarily have the freedom to do what we would like (less ownership of the product) * Especially on fixed-price contracts there can be a lot of pressure to get accurate hour estimates on work to be done * Diversity is pretty lacking * This place is very small with a flat hierarchy so promotions to management or even a lead role might be few and far between Also if you are one of those types that hates the city, you might not like it (commutes into Seattle and parking can be an annoyance to suburbanites). Otherwise, I would still say TLG far exceeds most places in the Aerospace Industry.
