Pros

Pay isn’t bad. I think it started at $16/one kid. You can choose your own schedule.

Cons

If for example I tell them i’m not available on Tuesdays, they’d text me on Tuesday anyways asking if i’m available. Of course you’re “allowed” to say no to whatever jobs you can’t take on, but then I’d end up being penalized because since I said no, I’d get pushed down on their list of priority of who to ask first. Because there’s so many nannie’s, they go down the list one by one asking who’s available. I felt this was unfair, and they should’ve only asked me if I was available on days I specified that I would be.

Pros

Met some wonderful families. Most people I nannied for were terrific and were very glad to see me for last minute jobs.

Cons

One crazy woman can put a nanny on the"do not call list". And when the nanny calls to find out why there have been no calls, the nanny gets the "your status hasn't changed" bs. And when nannies working at a day care which happens to be located where race riots are going on and they call in "sick", THEN TLC calls you. So TLC doesn't care about the nanny's safety OR well being at all. That was the last straw. TLC = soul sucking.
