Pros

nice colleges and fully remote

Cons

expected to work overtime, never get a well done, horrible way they speak to staff. No management or organisation, most of the time they don’t even join 1-1 meetings. Really inappropriate comments made behind your back, message in the middle of the night. Just an awful company that got investment- if you want to be stressed and talked to like you don’t have a brain you should work here.

Thanks for the review. We’re sorry your experience felt stressful and unsupported. We’re an early-stage startup building fast, and that will not look like a typical 9-to-5. The pace and urgency are real, and expectations can be high. At the same time, that can never come at the cost of respect, basic organisation, or people feeling looked after. We appreciate you calling this out. We’re actively working on clearer ways of working and on supporting the team so expectations are sustainable and everyone can balance the intensity of the job with rest, family, and life outside work.

Pros

Working at Tilt means tackling genuinely challenging problems (churn/LTV modeling, optimise mkt spend to max(ROAS), build data models, look at market liquidity ratios etc) that impact millions of users across our live commerce platform. You get significant freedom and ownership over your work, which comes with real responsibility. But that's exactly what makes it rewarding. The eng/product team is sharp and you'll learn constantly from colleagues who know their craft. The CEO is technical and hands-on, which means you can actually learn directly from leadership rather than dealing with abstract direction. This isn't a hand-holding environment. You need to be curious, independent, and comfortable figuring things out. If that sounds appealing rather than intimidating, you'll thrive here.

Cons

It's a fast-growing startup, so expect priorities to shift and direction to change. What you're working on this quarter might pivot next quarter based on business needs or market conditions. This can feel confusing or frustrating if you prefer stability and predictability. The pace is intense and the ambiguity won't suit everyone. If you need clear structure and consistent roadmaps, this probably isn't the right fit yet.

Thanks for the thoughtful review. From a People perspective, it’s great to hear the autonomy, impact, and calibre of the eng and product team are showing up day to day, and that hands-on technical leadership is a real advantage. You’re also right about the trade-offs. We’re still early and scaling fast, so priorities will shift and ambiguity comes with the territory. Our job is to keep raising the bar on clarity and support while preserving the ownership and pace that make Tilt work. Appreciate the note on hiring. We’re staying highly intentional about bringing in A teammates as we grow.

Pros

Working at Tilt has been one of the most unique experiences of my career. This is a company built on doing the impossible — the kind of challenges most teams wouldn’t even know where to begin. Every day is fast-paced, innovative, and genuinely exciting. Tilt has a culture of innovation, hard work, and determination, and it’s one of the very few UK companies that truly feels like it has “A-play” potential. If you’ve ever felt misunderstood, or if you’ve always wanted the space to become world-class at your craft, this is the environment that brings the best out of you. The CEO and co-founder are hands-on, visionary, and committed to building something against the grain of typical UK startup culture — a place where visionaries, builders, creatives, and hustlers can thrive together. If you’ve ever wondered what working at a real Silicon Valley-style startup feels like — but you’re in the UK — Tilt is the closest you’ll get. It’s intense, ambitious, and inspiring in all the best ways.

Cons

Nothing really, fast growing start up, can’t complain
