A Toxic and Unhealthy Work Environment - Digital Marketing Graduate THG Employee Review

Working at this company was one of the worst experiences of my career. In hindsight, I wish I had taken the Glassdoor reviews more seriously, as ignoring them ultimately took a significant toll on my mental health. The workplace culture is toxic, and success is largely dependent on favouritism. Even if your immediate team supports you, it won’t matter if senior leadership doesn’t, because they will find ways to push you out. During my time there, employees were treated more like schoolchildren than professionals, often forced to apologize for minor mistakes. There was a constant atmosphere of fear, with passive aggressive threats being made almost weekly, especially regarding email response times even in a hybrid work setting. I was one of the few who stood up for myself, and I believe I was disliked because I refused to be intimidated by their scare tactics. I ultimately left without another job lined up because the experience had left me feeling completely drained and depressed, I was working around the clock, receiving emails late into the evening, only to be scrutinised for mistakes made outside of regular work hours. If you are considering working here, I strongly urge you to reconsider.
