Pros

Access to pools. Scenic views. Good stepping stone to better jobs within the hospitality industry.

Cons

Low pay ($15/hour) compared to other local businesses. No or poor benefits. In the initial hiring process, HR would not disclose my pay rate unless I accepted the position. HR was very rude and aggressive throughout the hiring process. My former boss called me to tell me the woman who had called for a reference was rude and disrespectful to her. No room for advancement.

Pros

The management at Ten Thousand Waves itself, as well as the person who initially conducts the phone interview was wonderful.

Cons

- Extremely unprofessional people employed in the HR department that made applying for a job simply atrocious. - Professional references were called at 8pm and 9pm on a Tuesday, and no messages were left to convey who was calling or how to contact them in return. - HR personnel called me to tell me she did not believe I would make the drive to and from work. - Same HR personnel accused me of not informing my references that they would be called. (I had, they simply did not think a business would be calling them at 8 or 9pm.) - They also stated that they wanted me to get a reference that was available “right away” and when I told them I would reach out to people they said “I don’t want you to keep me on the phone” Overall this was such a horrid experience I withdrew my application immediately and will not be returning as a repeat customer or as someone seeking employee meant ever again.
