Pros
Good salary and 401K. Benefits were good and were the main reason to stay with the company. Co-workers were generally great to work with.
Cons
As the company moved from AMP to TE, work life balance got worse and worse. Last few years working at TE, you were expected to work from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. If you left work after 8 or 9 hours you were called on the carpet for not giving them all of your time. Vacations were not vacations as you were expected to check-in and be on call. If you managed to stay with the company for many years and enjoyed the challenges it presented, they would try to get you to leave. If they couldn't get you to leave on your own, they would lay you off or release you. Of all of my co-workers in Engineering who were near their planned retirement date, most were given poor reviews the year before their retirement. Some after many years working for TE were actually walked out with management overseeing their "cleaning out their desks" like they were criminals.
