Pros

I was able to design and implement custom strategies to solve challenges unique to my department and team. I received very little input from leadership but also very little friction when it came to leading my team. Was able to lead in an autonomous way that worked for my team.

Cons

Poor company culture contributed to a silo-effect that meant teams like mine felt very isolated in the company. Every project, every open hiring req, every promotion - every discussion always came back to lack of funding, no budget, no financial planning for ongoing operational needs that would support the scalability of marketing initiatives. This resulted in projects being shelved, turnover (voluntary and involuntary), and overall poor company culture. Very much an every-man/department for themselves atmosphere.

Pros

Work/Life Balance okay, get your route down and done quickly if you need to.

Cons

Micromanagement, cannot seem to stick with 1 program, uncertainty of the commission structure, mislead on who to contact, outsourcing customer service. Pays ok, but bank on no commission. Company talks about how much money they are making and how well they are doing while we struggle to make sense of the algorithm they have come up with on what to pay us that year.
