Pros

Progressive company with a "go get em" attitude. Company is well funded and their main offices are pretty nice! They allow remote work and do well with collaboration and providing hardware for their engineers!

Cons

Management pushes solutions down to engineering for petty reasons (dynamodb is a buzzword and not something you use if you want to rely on lots of indexing). Expect to constantly be chasing your tail and questioning leadership's decisions. The whole UBA (universal benefits platform) is a mess/joke. After a while leadership brought in a couple (2) of yahoos from another department (who worked on a different technology with different/archaic) methodologies who proceeded to make everything worse. Lots of important people quit during my year here (tech leads, managers, etc) because they realized leadership just wouldn't listen/hear the issues. The system is a pile of unstable, unmaintainable, garbage. Expect a lot of corporate "horah" with little backing from corporate (the development offices that they rented for the UBA initiative were terrible with poor wifi, limited seating/desks, non-existant AC, it felt like working in an overcrowded incubator). Mind you this isn't the first attempt they've had at creating this UBA.. This was the 3rd attempt and it's failing just like the previous 2 did... Stay away from this company until they get their priorities figured out.

Pros

Remote work and very low performance expectations based on poor management

Cons

Sales outlooks are poor, the companies reputation in the market space is extremely negative. Repeated rounds of layoffs and loss of revenue puts everyone on edge and they use that fear to work the remaining reduced workforce into the ground with little to no compensation. No matter how you perform here they will tell you that you're below average to justify not giving you a bonus or raise. There is a small inner circle of people that control things in management and everyone else is used until they are expendable. If you have any talent, do not work here unless you're absolutely desperate and need a bridge to a real job.
