Pros
Since TAPPI is a small association (30-40 employees total), it feels like family to most people. Everyone is very willing to drop what they are doing to help you and everyone pitches in for a team effort. You are given a lot of responsibility in any position at TAPPI and the expectations and bar to succeed is set high. You can take on as much as you can handle, they will not tell you no.
Cons
There seems to be more work than there are employees at times. However people need to learn to raise their hand when they are drowning. I look at that as job security. Also, because it is a non profit, the pay is not very good. But benefits and livelyhood is excellent, unbeatable.
