      Pros

      Technology and engineering lead company, with a fantastic culture and good prospects. Engineers were given the space to innovate and succeed. The company made a great effort to encourage cross-fertilisation of ideas, arranging yearly Tech Zone events that were also fantastic social events.

      Cons

      Bought by Cisco in 2010. Consensus based approach to decision making was slow and lead to flip-flopping. HQ in Oslo sometimes made it difficult to convince management of ideas from outside of Norway. Market leader in a limited market that may have been overrun by neighbouring bigger markets with the big tech players.

      Culture, Pay, Team Work, Everyone wants to help grow the company is if it is his/her own.

      Got bought by Cisco and most of the team was let go

      Pros

      Great place to work if you are interested in work/life balance. The company sells videoconferencing so employees ( depending on manager approval) can work from home. Free lunch in Reston and Oslo offices. Average age early thirties.International crowd in you work in the headquarter offices

      Cons

      very few opportunities for growth, salary below average. People are not particularly bright ( after all you don't need a master to work for TANDBERG USA), so not many opportunities for learning new methods or management. Good positions are only given to Norwegians. Marketing department has very bad management, a lot of micromanagement. Beware of any job in product marketing or global marketing as managers are terrible.
