Pros
Stable, TAL made a lot of money decades ago, so they are sitting on a big pile of cash to a point they don't mind giving you the paycheck in the middle of the month instead of month end since cash flow is not an issue for the company.
Depends on your team, some co-workers are friendly and willing to help.
Depends on your team, WFH policy is in place (2 days per week).
Diversity, the company likes to hire all sort of people no matter where you come from.
Cons
Old company. They are not the type that are striving for excellence, everyone here is just trying to survive, don't expect new tech or new system to help your work, prepare to stick with Excel forever.
Old people. Typical old company, which has a lot of old people who works for decades and obviously are going to stick around till retirement. Do you think this type of employee is going to push for new changes / look for new tech that improve stuff?
Policy favor people who stuck in the company for years. You got more annual leaves and perks the longer you work in the company, guess what, most new talents would not survive the low pay and burnout so old people remain, surely does help the company do better eh?
Salary and dental coverage below market, medical insurance is up to par but for dental you got HKD350 every year, and that's it, maybe it got better when you achieve a better rank.
Not much career advancement, as described above, this company likes old people, so they stick around for years and there would be a pretty low chance for you to be promoted especially if you are a junior.
