Pros
The work life balance compared to the corporate world is amazing. 10 weeks off a year. TOIL days too. Thoroughly enjoy working with apprentices and teaching the new guys some trade skills.
Cons
The support teams within Tafe don’t seem interested in supporting at all. Lots of talk from management but minimal assistance or action. Another con is previous management experience is not taken into account unless you have the right qualifications.
