Pros

Remote work flexibility makes for a great work-life balance The team is amazing—collaborative, kind, and uplifting The culture is positive and genuinely supportive I’ve been here for years, and I still love what I do I feel valued and seen—I truly feel like I matter here

Cons

Team sizes have been reduced over time, which has impacted workloads When someone leaves, their responsibilities are just reassigned instead of hiring replacements Some departments that used to have multiple team members are now run by just one person Although I’ve grown in title, I’m still doing many of the same tasks I did when I started, due to lack of new hires

Pros

Some well known clients. Close to the subway. Friday beer carts. Lots of in house after hours social gatherings, handful of wonderful co workers, cool (hip) office set up. Dog friendly. Opportunity to do some Brand Ambassador work (extra $$)Opportunities to go to various sporting events (employee of the month reward)- if chosen. The owner of the company is nice.

Cons

Long hours. Very low wage (below industry standard). No parking. Toxic high school environment-lots of drama/backstabbing - you need to make friends with the right people and you can see who is favored right away. If you join the right group of friends, you will receive all that you ask for (training, raises, career development, time off advancement within the company) and you get away with dumping work on others, coming in late or not coming in at all and taking all the credit when other people have done the job- a blind eye will be turned. You are not appreciated for the time you put into the company. Complaints are frowned upon and discussed with others (no confidentially) as there is no formal HR to voice a concern to or solve the problem. It is expected to be on call and work overtime on a regular basis. There is a big section of time where you are not allowed to take any time off and dedicate yourself to this company. Be prepared to work past midnight many nights

Thank you for your feedback. It’s disappointing to read the challenges that you’ve listed. The mention of a toxic high school environment is surprising to us. We have worked hard to hire a team of smart, creative, driven people who don’t take themselves too seriously, are open to feedback and continuously strive to improve. We are incredibly proud of our team and we continuously seek their feedback in different ways. We conduct internal surveys, ongoing informal development discussions and formal development and satisfaction discussions three times a year. We have a clearly defined HR team to provide a place where concerns can be voiced and support for problem solving. We also pay attention to the feedback on Glassdoor. In fact, it has helped us over the years to make changes and improve. We definitely aim to reward our team with training, raises, career development, time off and advancement within the company. We firmly believe that rewards and recognition should be given to people who are passionate about our clients, the work we do and the people they work with. A member of the leadership team would love to chat further with you if you are interested. You know how to reach us.
