Small company environment allows for direct communication with management and faster decision-making. Good opportunity to learn about the printing, manufacturing, and signage industry.

Limited opportunities for career advancement in software engineering due to the company's primary focus on printing and production rather than technology. Technical resources and development capacity can be limited compared to larger software-focused organizations. Employees often wear multiple hats, which can sometimes lead to high workloads and competing priorities. Some processes remain manual and could benefit from further automation and modernization. Compensation may not always be competitive with current market rates for experienced software developers.

Close to home and I got my own cubicle.

Worst place I have ever worked. Everyone speaks in another language all day, every day. Last I checked, English or French are the languages spoken in Canada. You feel so isolated and segregated if you don't speak mandarin. They will pile on so much work for you without even asking you how you're doing or how your training is going. They will increase your workload (more than what you signed for on your agreement) without adding more salary. So shady. They do business in a very shady, sketchy way. Almost no training. Your coworkers don't respect you or have any regard for you whatsoever. They let me go without even having a conversation with me first. No explanation, no reason at all for why they let me go even though in my meeting with the boss she said I was doing really well. They will give up on you so fast, like you're just a number to them. I'm glad they let me go, cause I don't wanna work somewhere as terrible as that.
