Pros

- Work from home - if you're a foreigner, they pay for a flight home once a year - the colleagues are nice and friendly - A lot of smart people who loves their field

Cons

- The management is indecisive and consistently refuses to clarify the company's direction - Zero commitment or accountability to their promises, keeps changing their goals every 3-6 months - Pay and leave days are terrible, no sick leave, no menstrual leave, and for newcomers you only get 11 days annually - The blaming game is thick. the upper management loves to throw people under the bus. - If you're a woman in STEM, don't even bother. The management has a negative bias towards women and they don't want to admit it.

Pros

English environment. Same level peers are easy to talk to. Pay for flight back home annually.

Cons

I heard this line from 2 different teams within my 1st month. “People with prior experience in the space industry can have it harder here”. Well, it’s not like we are all coming from NASA or ESA right? Do you not think that the engineering here is problematic if space industry hires are pretty much all exiting the company in less than a year? Meanwhile the people who come from outside the industry are accepting this dysfunctional engineering because they do not know better. Which just further propagates this toxic cycle. Do not look at their launch cadence as an indicator of their engineering performance, because their satellite lifecycle might be a lot shorter than what you are used to, if you come from the space industry.

Pros

Open and approachable culture. Allows use of English for internal communications. Good work-life balance.

Cons

Some language/communication barriers still exist. For foreign residents, pay didn't increase with decreasing yen value.
