Pros

Free snacks and the occasional BBQ or left overs from meetings Some of the front line folks are great people willing to help There are some truly talented people there and some even care Slightly above average PTO accrual Middle management can have your back, assuming senior management doesn't bypass them. Plenty of free parking at the Denver office

Cons

Senior management that is completely out of touch Pay is very inconstant for the same job, some are paid fairly (on the low side) others are getting way below market Unqualified or toxic people are allowed free reign to make their own hours, watch Netflix all day, or just be downright insubordinate Communication between management levels is almost nonexistent Performance metric are completely arbitrary, and the same across all job descriptions (eg a tier 1 help desk person and a tier 4 server person are judged the same) Policies are not enforced the same between regions or teams At the last all hands they said that the company has more allotted project hours than resources, and that is if everyone from HR to sales to executives were all put to work (think about that) There has been high turnover in HR, what did they know I wonder? The current round of layoffs witch affected about 7% of the companies head count was done in a vacuum at the executive level (probably at the sole decision) of the new COO (who hasn't done a single useful thing this year). This was done without any input from mangers or team leads. Not only did the mangers not have any input, they weren't even told before they started! Letting 30 people go without even talking to the front line managers, just think about, think about the message it sends.

Pros

The people are some of the best and like family. We care a lot about our teams and our customers. There are good leaders here but it has just become too hard for us to lead the way they want to.

Cons

Executive Leadership, especially the CEO. The culture has changed a lot since he replaced the former CEO. He does not operate with the same values that have been a part of the company ever since I got here. He rules by fear, control, micromanagement, and is unapproachable. You can see it in meetings with the business and even in our Company meetings. It is uncomfortable. He has started only bringing people in from his former network and they are bringing in their friends. Everything is India focused and North America people are losing their jobs and those that are left are burned out from the excessive workload. We are watching good employees leave either on their own or because they are forced out. The optics of who is leaving and why are not good. I want this to work but it feels like a sinking ship at this point. Our customers aren't even happy with us anymore and that makes our jobs even harder.
