Pros
Some of the best and smartest people I've worked with. Usually, management seems to be pretty savvy and company is stable, with predictable results and some upside potential. Leadership working to expand offerings in a declining industry (EDA).
Cons
The Magma acquisition appears to have been mishandled, and this led to several people being laid off. I hope this is not a harbinger of things to come for Synopsys, but it is worrisome. Also: it seems that most of the layoffs came from pre-merger Synopsys employees, not from Magma employees. This certainly runs counter to the norm (if there is a norm for this, these days).
