Pros

I genuinely love the culture at Synergy Learning. It’s an inclusive, supportive environment where you truly feel valued as a person, not just an employee. Management genuinely cares about your wellbeing and your development, and that shows in day-to-day interactions as well as the wider company policies. The work–life balance is excellent, especially with the fully remote setup. Benefits are also a standout — enhanced maternity and paternity leave, access to Vitality and Headspace, 50% discounts at selected gyms, life cover, and even your birthday off (plus a present!). These perks make a real difference and show that the company invests in its people. The onboarding process is very personalised and thoughtful. You never feel rushed; instead, you have regular monthly check-ins to ensure you’re on the right track and have everything you need to succeed. It’s clear that employee support is a priority from day one. Overall, Synergy Learning is a fantastic place to work, with a great culture, strong values, and a genuine focus on employee wellbeing.

Cons

It’s a relatively small company, which means your role may include a wider variety of tasks and responsibilities. I personally enjoy the variety and find it engaging, but I appreciate that some people might prefer a more narrowly defined role.

Pros

Genuinely lovely, competent people across various teams. Respected partner, both by Moodle/Totara and the L&D industry. Good history of successful projects. Organised & structured

Cons

It's been a while since I left so I've had time to consider the experience, and not react emotionally. So aside from the good things, I unfortunately also experienced the age old cliches: micro-management, bullying etc...In order to manage complex SaaS deals, you need a nuanced and skilled process - rather than this blunt approach. If the role needs you to recruit experienced and skilled SaaS professionals, then you should also pay attention to them and what they need to build pipeline and close deals. Also, I believe HR should not have any conflicts otherwise it's extremely difficult for anyone to address issues or make improvements.
