Pros

Not hard work Being remote was nice Good PTO policy

Cons

I was hired on a contract position, I was told by the hiring manager that the contract was going to be up in a few months but they were certain the contract would be renewed again. I asked many times about what would happen if the contract didn't get renewed and I was told they would find a new contract for me and if there wasn't a contract available at the time I would be placed on a bench program and get paid until something opened up. When we were told the contract didn't get renewed the whole team got laid off and they did not help any of us get on new contracts and the bench program wasn't a thing. They just laid us all off and didn't even get a severance pay. I left a good job of over two years to only be employed with Syneos for 3 months.

Pros

There were no pros that I know of.

Cons

The company would set the maximum hours allowed on a specific publication project, and that cap was always insufficient, so the freelancer would be expected to work for free, despite scope creep. Also, timelines were unreasonably short. Poor communication with management meant things took longer than they should have. I left after one project.
