Pros

I appreciate their discretionary/unlimited PTO policy and some (not all) of their systems are rather up-to-date with current technology. Their home office stipend is also automatically included in your standard paychecks, so no need to submit for reimbursement every month.

Cons

I feel as if I was deceived during their interview process. They spoke of such a wonderful culture that they've built over the past couple of years (touting a Total Self approach), but that's far from my experience. To date, I've encountered insufficient work by my predecessors with an 'it is what it is' attitude by management. When questioned, management cannot confidently say what is defined as per our internal processes, but rather rely upon what they or others have done previously. The company as a whole is somehow continuously under resourced for individual contributors, while continuing to grow upper management so the organization is very top heavy, and thus it actually feels unstable at all times. Attrition is also tremendous, even as compared to numbers from the current COVID revolution.

Cons

Study assignments need to be more regional.

Pros

There were no pros that I know of.

Cons

The company would set the maximum hours allowed on a specific publication project, and that cap was always insufficient, so the freelancer would be expected to work for free, despite scope creep. Also, timelines were unreasonably short. Poor communication with management meant things took longer than they should have. I left after one project.
