Not worth the effort - Biostatistician Syneos Health Employee Review

I work for several clients in parallel as lead biostat. Not enough time to work properly. Since the merge, much more pressure and more and more the feeling to be considered as machines. New processes/SOPs really strict and demanding . New responsibilities assigned that are normally not part of the stat role (eg produce reports of data issues, ensure respect of budget of other stat team members on your project team). Financial rewards have gone, eg when you work endless hours, little or no concrete recognition. Hypocrisism: the moto is to make drugs available to patients faster but in day to day activity, everything is budget-driven. In short: was a much better place to work at time of inVentiv Health. It might be smoother in platforms dedicated to a single client, as you'd follow the client's SOP there. Those staff are less affected by harmonization of processes.
