A contract company is a contract company...its good temporarily - Pharmaceutical Sales Representative Syneos Health Employee Review

Pros

Even though its a contract company, you still receive a decent salary. If you're on a contract with a big time Pharma company then it is a good...but by no means great place to work. If its a smaller pharma company with relatively unknown products, they will treat you like a step-child. However, pay-checks still come in and its a job.

Cons

As a sales rep, absolutely no where to go, as close to zero growth opportunities as you can get. Benefits are weak but not terrible. Limited meetings, if any at all. Hardly any fun competitions, no high performance clubs or incentives depending on what contract you're on. This is mostly a dead end for most young professionals. If you need something temporarily or to finish the last couple years of your career until retirement, this is a good place to work. If you're looking for a good company culture, growth/career opportunities, long-term employment...THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. However, working here is better than unemployment so Syneos has that working for them.

Pros

Great line Management structure. They really care about the full person.

Cons

Bonus unstable for number of year. Not significant opportunity to move up.

Pros

There were no pros that I know of.

Cons

The company would set the maximum hours allowed on a specific publication project, and that cap was always insufficient, so the freelancer would be expected to work for free, despite scope creep. Also, timelines were unreasonably short. Poor communication with management meant things took longer than they should have. I left after one project.
