Pros

Free snacks? 9/80 schedule is nice but they still expect you to work on your off fridays...

Cons

Everything. Embarrassing HR team that doesn’t take employee concerns seriously, compensation reviews that were biased and one sided, zero room for growth, lack of communication from upper management, some people get promoted for no reason other people get yelled at during meetings. Encourage employees to leave positive reviews on Glassdoor to boost their ratings even though there re problems and discrepancies and ineptitude in every department. Completely dysfunctional.

Pros

Syncroness has a variety of customers in different markets. This means that all of the engineers here are exposed to multiple projects every year, and each is typically very different from the last. This results in a very well rounded group of engineers, and a great team to work with. The mindset here is very progressive, and everyone is ready to adapt and help each-other in order to ensure we succeed as a team. I have never worked with such a great group of people, and they have really helped me to enjoy my work. The work-life balance here is great. We work on a 9/80 schedule, so we get every other Friday off. We also get ~9 holidays and a significant amount of PTO every year, so going on multiple vacations a year is not unreasonable. Most engineers work their 44/36 hour weeks the majority of the year, and if you work significantly more one week, it's not likely to happen the next.

Cons

The work here depends on our customers. This means that you may work on exciting projects the entire time you're here, or you may get some frustrating projects mixed in. However, morale is very important to management, so if you're not happy on a project, you will likely move to a better project quickly. Syncroness is always willing to change teams to make a better fit, or even stop accepting work from a customer if they're not a good fit for us.
