Pros

-9/80 schedule allows for flexible work schedules -There are a lot of opportunities with the company with people that believe in you -The culture here is a positive one and everyone works together to build on each others strengths and help with weakness -Company is growing rapidly and has a lot of exciting new work coming in

Cons

-Compensation (from just a salary perspective) is low. The cost of living in Colorado is so high right now that it is a challenge to make ends meet. The salary just doesn't go a long way anymore and it is stressful when you are stretched so thin. Feels very defeating when you can't take care of your family. -Office space is very lack luster. The office chairs are pretty old, dirty and smell and have caused some back issues. The office suites are all mismatched and out of date. Kitchens are not always the cleanest.

Pros

Syncroness has a variety of customers in different markets. This means that all of the engineers here are exposed to multiple projects every year, and each is typically very different from the last. This results in a very well rounded group of engineers, and a great team to work with. The mindset here is very progressive, and everyone is ready to adapt and help each-other in order to ensure we succeed as a team. I have never worked with such a great group of people, and they have really helped me to enjoy my work. The work-life balance here is great. We work on a 9/80 schedule, so we get every other Friday off. We also get ~9 holidays and a significant amount of PTO every year, so going on multiple vacations a year is not unreasonable. Most engineers work their 44/36 hour weeks the majority of the year, and if you work significantly more one week, it's not likely to happen the next.

Cons

The work here depends on our customers. This means that you may work on exciting projects the entire time you're here, or you may get some frustrating projects mixed in. However, morale is very important to management, so if you're not happy on a project, you will likely move to a better project quickly. Syncroness is always willing to change teams to make a better fit, or even stop accepting work from a customer if they're not a good fit for us.
