      Pros

      SynaMed provides full training to entry level employees, embracing the fact that they have no or little knowledge of the healthcare IT industry. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the workplace after college, as you gain more responsibility as soon as you learn the ins and outs of the software system. People who work there are friendly and there is a very laid back atmosphere. Coming in at 9 exactly and leaving at 5 exactly is expected. Awesome for building up a resume, good benefits.

      Cons

      This is a very small company so there is little or no room to move up, making this a short term position for many. Owner comes into the office every couple weeks and changes priorities, so sometimes it is tough to get projects completed.

      Pros

      You'll learn that perfect isn't necessary. Imperfection is a way of life there and it could be rewarding if you know where quality is required. Anyone that worked there should have walked out with a good experience on how to balance time, quality and quantity. You can't find this kind of lesson even at an Executive MBA class.

      Cons

      Lack of attention to quality where due is a big influence to morale, let alone client frustration. There's a lot of overhead in product areas that need to be in better shape, especially in administration of the product itself. The product has a lot of features that aren't of any value, at least not yet.
