Pros

Swoop is becoming the leader in the towing software business with many big-name clients. It is always happier to work for a winner. The senior leadership is run by people who are professional and experienced--not by some dropouts with a vision. The engineering team just started to grow, so there are many opportunities to contribute. The founding engineers are talented and friendly, and Swoop has great work-life balance, excellent benefits, and very competitive compensation. The office location is very close to BART station, easy commute.

Cons

The dispatching system is complicated. It will take a while to get familiar with the product. The product managers there are really knowledgeable and will help out. The office could have more perks like more free coffee and snacks and free lunches. Guess I was spoiled by some of the startup cultures here in the Valley.

Pros

Don't let the sometimes upfront leadership style of the CEO fool you. He cares. About the company and the employee. So, I initially suggest to put your conclusions about how leadership should look and instead embrace what is. You will grow to admire him and his style. You can't deny the passion of those that work there. In an industry one might not label "sexy" this crew of dedicated product peeps, engineers, customer support/success and sales grinders LOVE their product and it makes a huge difference in the day to day. It's a fun place to work. And the people are good good people. If it weren't for a dream job that came my way, I would have battled it out with them. I wish them nothing but love and success and anyone would be lucky to work there.

Cons

Depends on whether you like the fast paced throw it against the wall and see what sticks pace of a company that is figuring it out as it goes. That's on the sales side at least. If you don't, than that might be a con. If you love that, like I did, than not really a con I guess.
