Pros

Great location right on Lincoln Road, Good benefits (insurance, 401K). The job is really fast paced and you need to be able to adapt quickly. Everyday presents new challenges that may seem insurmountable but really aren't. I really enjoy not knowing what I will be doing everyday. I am not the kind of person who likes to clock in and do the same thing all day everyday until it's time to go home. I can see how many would find that a con, but I really enjoy the pace that is worked here. Upper management seems to take me seriously when I have suggestions and they definitely make me feel like a valued employee. When I started I told them opportunity for growth and the ability to be able to reach out of the required job functions would be a must. So far I haven't been disappointed. I was trained in what to do ( a real hands on way) and since then have been able to make suggestions and improvements to increase productivity and efficiency. I don't have to be micro-managed and I really appreciate that they don't try that at all with me. In the last several months I feel that I've been fully integrated as part of the team and if there are office politics I don't partake at all. All in all the last few months since I've started working here I'd have to say I'm pretty satisfied. The job is exactly what I thought it would be and I don't feel I was misled at all. I would love the opportunity to grow with Surgeon's Advisor because I feel like I am truly a good fit here.

Cons

The drive and traffic aren't very pleasant and I wish there was the opportunity to work remotely more. I understand that something like that can easily be abused, but some people are capable of being just as productive out of the office as they are in it. It' can be a really fun laid back environment but there are many high stress moments. Like I said, I like being challenge but of course I get frustrated sometimes. If you're not flexible and not willing to dedicate yourself this is probably not the right place for you. There's nothing wrong with not wanting to deal with things out of your comfort zone. Clearly some people thrive in the relative chaos and some people work better in what I would consider to be more boring environments. It is my full intention to stay here but it's unclear how far the path for growth will lead. I feel that employees who excel at their positions should be compensated as such.

Pros

I enjoyed working with the people here, everyone supported everyone, and my direct manager was absolutely amazing.

Cons

I got very sick with an autoimmune disease, and while I wasn't outright fired, They waited until all my vacation time was used up, and then let me go, despite the fact that my disease is a protected disability under the ADA. I didn't know that at the time, but I was less than a week away from being well enough to return to work.
