Pros

Some of the people you work with are great and help each other out. The job can be interesting when things run well, and you can learn a lot on the shop floor. The shift teams usually stick together, and there are moments when the place feels alright because of the workers, not the managers.

Cons

Feels all over the place. The place is unorganised, managers change their minds without reason, and there is no real support for the people doing the actual work. It is ran by a CEO and COO that have a mindset along the lines of "people should want to do the job and why would we pay people?". There are health risks due to the amount of carbon dust in every area and unavailable PPE. Pay does not keep up with what you are asked to do, holidays are a fight, and raising concerns feels pointless because you get pressure back instead of help. Communication is poor, problems drag on, and you never feel valued. I would not recommend it to anyone who wants a fair place to work.

Pros

The only pros to this job was your time away from the site.

Cons

Horrendous place to work. Health and safety is none existent, with regards to the material you were working with black carbon dust in its raw form..ppe should be a basic must but it is locked away in cabinets. The site is old and decaying..the management are totally clueless no direction or experience.. if you value your health steer well clear. Much better opportunities for experienced operators out there...
