Pros

Discount, talking to kitchen professionals every day, advice from many different types of cooks.

Cons

Could barely take time off without forcing, manager never acknowledged requests, too many tasks for the team at hand. They expect you to get everything done at all cost no matter what you yourself are capable of accomplishing, how little payroll you have, (there is none added on for increased tasks throughout the month) if you can get it done, tough luck. The pressure they put on the GM is insane, no wonder they’re always hiring in management positions. A good bit are rotating out after about 3-6 months, and they continue to cut pay which attracts lower quality hires resulting in more eventual turnover. Very much operates from a figure it out yourself mindset. I was given very little training, mostly surface level how to open and close the store and then everything else was a figure it out moment for much of my time with the store.
