Pros

You get exposed to great products, lots of training, sales contests/incentives, flexible holiday hours

Cons

You are expected to have a lot of knowledge on the products. You should be interested in the culinary world otherwise it will be difficult to grasp. During non holiday seasons, they were strict with hours. If you couldn't work a certain amount you were unable to be employed by them.

- Very fun work - Get to work with professional chefs - You will actually learn more about cooking in this position than you will taking the classes - Employee discounts

Cons

- Low pay with no opportunity for advancement, not a career path - Sometimes kitchen is understaffed, putting a lot of pressure on you
