The substantial discount used to be a draw, but when they cut that back to 2x a year on electrics, it was time to leave.

Is there anyone with business experience at the top? Management by walking around is a good place to start. Find out from associates what people want. Company tends to send excess inventory of items that don't sell and we were always short of product that was in demand. Archaic system of needing to go halfway across store to a standalone computer to look up existing inventory, then back to register to run SKU. Duh! Low morale among lead employees. Negative culture. Point out what you do wrong rather than what is done right. Store used employees to keep inventory clean as well as bathrooms. Hire cleaning people!
