Pros

They offer pretty good health insurance and premiums were fairly inexpensive. They also have a tuition reimbursement plan available, it has changed over the years but was still available. Overtime was available due to my position which was nice. They provide double pay for holidays worked and usually provided a meal as well. Its fun to meet people and have some flexibility in scheduling when needed. It was fun to be moving around and getting things done.

Cons

Staffing issues are a constant at SA now days. They pay minimum wage, but don't see that as a problem even though other retailers are boasting $10 or more to start. They place a lot of stress on store managers as they are expected to now hire, train, and retain employees even though they have a million others things to get done. As a manager I think the work/life balance is not good. Some managers are working 60-70 hours a week due to the lack of staffing and people calling in. Definitely think there needs to be some change in the motto. Managers need help from upper management and they should be expected to help. Bonus is available, but sometimes is hard obtain.
