Pros

-Learned my entry level server knowledge here. -Interesting people to work with, colleagues are laid-back, made a lot of friends here. -Job security, didn't need to worry about layoffs. -If you are lucky, got to a team with a reasonable manager, your life should be pretty good here. -If you have a purpose that either 1: knowing what you want, learn what you need, then move on. Or 2. looking for a retirement job. Then this is a perfect place for you. But if you don't know what you want, lazy to learn, it is also a good place for you because you will soon find out that you are forever stuck here and incapable of finding a real job elsewhere lol.

Cons

Upper management - met the worst, shady, hypothetical managers in my life here. They play around with politics, manipulate with the power they have, and so afraid of loosing their authorities. It feels like you are watching high school drama, but the actors are 50+ yrs old men. @.@ You don't need to work hard here, just be obedient and make sure you know how to kiss @ss, boy they like it. And if they don't like you, you bettet run and don't ever think about coming back because they will put you on something called blacklist. Don't think about internal transfer, there is no personal growth here, they rather think you betray them, very narrow minded. Again, not all upper managers are bad, awesome managers do exist here, depends on where you land.

Pros

I have enjoyed working in the Supermicro IT & DataCenter infrastructure group. It's an exciting opportunity to be directly involved in some of the most impactful trends in the industry, including AI infrastructure, liquid cooling, high-density computing, and next-generation data center design. As an IT Director focused on Applications and data center infrastructure, I have been able to work with talented, dedicated engineers and business leaders to meet complex customer requirements. The company moves quickly, embraces innovation, and provides opportunities to make meaningful contributions rather than getting lost in layers of bureaucracy.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, and priorities sometimes shift as the business continues to grow rapidly. There are times when processes, tools, and organizational structures are still catching up to the company's expansion. Success often requires flexibility, a willingness to take ownership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity. Employees who prefer highly structured environments and clearly defined boundaries may find the pace challenging.

Pros

I just started at Supermicro and I have to say — the onboarding experience exceeded my expectations. From day one, the team was incredibly welcoming and took the time to walk me through everything step by step. The pace here is fast and efficient, which I really appreciate — they don’t waste time and they set you up to hit the ground running. One thing that really stood out to me is the food perks. Free breakfast, a great lunch option, and free dinner — the meals are genuinely nice and it shows the company cares about its employees’ day-to-day experience. Overall, I’m really impressed with the work culture so far. The team is helpful, the environment is productive, and I feel supported as a new hire. Looking forward to growing here!

Cons

As someone only in their first week, it’s hard to give a full picture yet.
