Pros
- Minimal Supervision
- Get to be involved in a wide variety of different projects and different aspects of every project
Cons
- No sense of direction
- Work around the clock due to the need to match international hours - necessary to manage and keep constant communication with Chinese teams.
- No local help due to the lack of staff and director flying out half of the year, everything falls on one person's shoulder
- While it is contract work and have minimal supervision, work is tracked daily and micro managed
- Contradictory work style as freedom is "given" to pick and choose what/how a task is completed; However, challenged and yelled at upon completion for not choosing what the director thinks is the best choice
- Low paying with respect to responsibilities required
- Low pay restricts new hires to staff with limited capabilities, while talented individuals move on
- No culture, unless you think working around the clock is culture
