Pros

If you like a job where you don’t get paid and you can do whatever you want all day because you’re going to get ripped off anyway, this is the employer for you.

Cons

Sunshine pays on a points per job finished. They type out a list of stuff on your paycheck that supposably shows you how much you were paid, but it is not accurate and not what you actually were supposed to be paid. And very very confusing and if you ask managers they give you an explanation that doesn’t make sense because they won’t explain how they are not paying for your fair work. They say they offer money for miles driven because of course you have to put wear and tear on your personal vehicle to even work for this company, but they also short you on your miles driven as well. Don’t believe them when they say you can make up to a certain amount of money because you won’t. They contract with a cable tv and internet company and the main cable company gives contractors like sunshine all the bad work they don’t want their main cable company employees doing. On top of pay problems is equipment shortages. Sunshine never has enough equipment to go around to everybody they employ. You need equipment because if you rely on the bad jobs they give you then you make barely minimum wage. Almost forgot they consider your miles per gallon money as part of minimum wage too lol. So your jobs they give you each day are usually about 5 dollars to ten dollars each. And usually on a “good” day you get 3 to 6 jobs. On a “good” day. The racket is you have to convince people to upgrade their equipment to get more points per job which “should” be more dollars per job. But they don’t pay for your “sales” and keep the profits for themselves. So if you don’t have equipment to make the “sale” you don’t earn them money and then they give you 1 or 2 jobs per day. And the customers don’t really need better equipment. You have to convince them they do lol. So bottom line if you want to sit in your car all day and drive from imperial beach then up to Oceanside for hopefully minimum wage dealing with angry customers that just want their internet and cable tv services working, not to be sold on stuff they don’t need, then this job might be for you! lol. Almost forgot you have to have a pickup truck or a van because you have to put a ladder rack on your truck which scratches your paint and you might have to drill holes in your car, look out for rust and leaks! Ya the ladder rack is for a 24 foot ladder, take a tape measure out and see how long that is I dare you, so that you can climb up on power poles and risk your life for hopefully minimum wage. Good luck. You’re going to need it!
