Pros
-walking and sitting at own leisure if customers aren't around. -4% commission on products you sell. Mostly washer fluids and motor oil. -can use your phone inside the attendant booth. -the great outdoors. -people generally tip if you are nice to them, especially if you wash their windows. On busy days, I brought home more than $100 from people's generosity, more than my hourly pay... -almost all of my coworkers were great guys.
Cons
-minimum wage -you must survive the elements. -diesel duty and working on trucks in general is difficult. Their cards constantly never work and you have to call your supervisor to sort it out. -writing invoices for trucker fuel cards. Only applies when your on diesel duty. If the trucker makes one mistake on relaying his information, the processor won't accept the invoice and you need to write an entirely new and restart the process. It takes an incredibly wrong time for it to read the invoice even if all the info is correct. -one manager in particular lacked manners and spoke needlessly loud. -almost no employee benefits -occassional nasty customer
