This company is in "maintenance mode". They really should hire contractors only due to the state of the company 1. Expected to work extremely long hours with little affirmation for the work that you do 2. "IT Career killer" company is in "maintenance mode" and does not value innovation. If working in IT you can get pidgeon holed gaining skills that won't be valuable later 3. No time off for birth of child/leave for birth of a child 4. Management is so busy they have no time to provide guidance, mentorship or engagement 5. Company is tight on budget so they refuse to give out software licenses for software that is needed to do your job effectively 6. Every man for himself type company culture . Everyone has there head down. No collaboration.
