Pros
It is full time work and they love their safety.
Cons
Sunbelt purchased the company that hired me just a few weeks prior. The original employer was awesome and I was excited to work there. I was hesitant about sunbelt when I first heard about the acquisition. When Sunbelt introduced themselves and gave us all promises for what they had planned for the future of the location we were all working everything seemed to good. Listening to what they said I was hopeful the opportunity would have been a great one. I listened to my gut but showed back up to work daily and watched quietly as they doubled the prices and drove off all the good and returning customers which took away all overtime opportunities. We soon learned that sunbelt was full of empty promises and everyone’s true colors started showing. A lot of two faced individuals and alliances came out within six months of take over. If there was a problem with a truck or a machine it was given a bandaid fix then forgotten about. To bring it up again for a real fix you were deemed the bad guy and higher ups were not on your side. Attempts to gain value within the company was given then taken away without a word to you. It is the M.O. of sunbelt to acquire a company, learn how that location does everything, and then replace every employee within a year. My advice to anyone wanting to work for sunbelt is form your own opinion about the company but watch your back and keep your ears open especially if you are part of an acquisition. You will hear all kinds of sweet talk and promises but beware of what lies beneath the surface. Just a reminder HR is not your friend and is not on your side. They are in place to protect the company not you. Good luck
