Housing, Fellow staff, compensation is high for Summer Camp

Living in a tent for the Summer Dining hall food

They give you a place to stay, although the living conditions are dreadful.

As a blanket statement, everything! Though this is "Scouting" there is rampant and blatant Drug and Alcohol abuse by the staff who are operating vehicles and high life risk program areas. This is all approved by upper management too, even when caught on camera, they threaten to fire the one who reported it. They also promote bullying and blackmail, which most of the upper management take part in them selves too. If they dont like something you said or did, they will blackmail you by threatening to revoke you BSA membership and have you blacklisted for life. This is no joke. They truly dont care about you. Additional Things: Managements go to excuse "Boys will be boys" Blatant favoritism and nepotism Severe pitfalls in communication Lack of connection to full time staff HR is a joke General Manager pushes his religion onto others Disrespect of the Seasonal employees Horrible hours (at times 16 hour days) Inflexible hours Low pay in comparison to work load
