Pros
Flexible hours, easy to learn, occasional free food (probably varies location to location), meeting new customers and making friends with repeat customers, etc
Cons
Low hours, can work long shifts without breaks if shorthanded and busy (once did a 10 hour shift without a lunch or break), dealing with unruly and dishonest customers (one customer tried to steal our tip jar, others try to rip us off, and other customers are rude and antagonistic). Had to deal with unruly coworkers (some refused to work but they were specially hired by the manager so their poor behavior continued). It's disheartening when one does the majority of the work and earns all the tips but has to share tips with someone who spent the majority of their shift on the phone.
