Pros

Most of the employees Interesting clients Relaxed office environment

Cons

Senior Management would rather hire from the outside than promote from inside Typical for employees to work around the clock and then be "laid off" Salaries below industry average, unless you are a darling of someone No communication from the top or lateral Company strategy and attempt at process change monthly Managers don't care about employee work and personal life balance

Pros

Studiocom has many skilled and creative team members. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the people there really enjoy working with each other.

Cons

My primary criticism of Studiocom would be that it's still relatively new to the "full service" agency world. Primarily a project based creative shop until '07 Studiocom won some significant AOR accounts in '06 and early '07. The management decided they needed to offer a complete suite of services to their clients. Unfortunately the management is creative heavy with limited exposure to other practices like media or analytics. As a result investment in resources was not executed very well. There were many opportunities lost as a result of investing in areas with little growth opportunities and a lack of investing where their clients wanted more support and resources. It's a classic agency problem but caused many employees to work very long hours and under deliver to their clients. This ultimately lead to client losses.
