Pros

Studio Anya has some incredible teachers and great classes. Courtney's method continues to inspire and amaze me. Access to anti-gravity classes, Pilates, and yoga classes was the best perk of working here as a teacher and intern.

Cons

The studio paid their teachers on a very measly commission. 35% commission per student in each class. Because of the small classes, this made the pay quite low for many of the classes taught. The studio expected the teacher to be almost solely responsible for filling their classes. Management would revoke teaching privileges and classes if classes weren't filled within a several week period. Teachers were expected to attend continuing education courses in addition to participating in studio events and mentorship with the yoga teacher training. Management does not treat their employees with mutual respect. They do not offer any kind of benefits. All employees are independent contractors. The studio was in a constant state of financial upheaval as it relied upon one sole individual donor to keep the business afloat. This was made acutely aware to employees to 'motivate' them to work harder, retain more clients, and build a bigger following.
