Pros

-Comprehensive benefits -Supportive and awesome corporate team that truly care about you and your experience on-site -Provides a lot of ways you can be more heard and seen, like SRG's, or participating in the Summer Training Camp, or being nominated for Summit -A lot of internal growth is possible, I went from a Leasing Consultant to Leasing Manager to RSM -Good PTO structure and Sick time accrual -In depth trainings conducted and refreshed for entire company often, ensuring we all stay on top of our policies -Turn gives a lot of overtime for hourly -Commissions are plentiful, you just have to go for it!

Cons

None that I can think of at the moment, legitimately, SQ has been the best student housing company I've worked for. Their values and the commitment of the corporate and on-site members and managers to uphold the SQ core values and ensure quality persists is top notch!

Pros

I have worked here for almost 2 years now and for the most part I have really enjoyed my time. The PTO is fair. Our current management is the best it has ever been at the Vue.

Cons

I would love to say that I had no cons, however the world does not work that way. The work you do DOES NOT align with how much you get paid, you will do a lot out of your job description tasks and you will not receive recognition or get compensation for it. We have had to deal with a revolving door of different GMs and AGMs, maintenance as well. My coworkers and I had to deal with sexual harassment from our GM and although they were terminated, there was no follow up or support regarding the matter. No one was willing to speak with the victims and give sympathy or anything. I have been full-time for almost 2 years and there are still things I do not have access to, and that results in losing leads and getting screamed at by residents and their parents because there is nothing I have access to to help them. My last con for Student Quarters is the new All Black dress code, as this being STUDENT Quarters you would think they would want us to relate to our clientele. Coming to work every day feels like I am going to a funeral. Also if you are going to continue changing the dress code, you would expect that they would provide compensation to afford a brand new wardrobe, but due to their low compensation to their works and the corporate stinginess they won’t.
