Well we used to have free pantry food! And Medicash healthcare! Not sure if this is still a thing with the new company, maybe this one benefit has been removed.
Cons
Student Castle is one of the most disorganised and worst companies that you could potentially choose to work for.
One, I was lied to with the opportunity for training and career progression. I received absolutely no professional training on the job! And was frankly just expected to know what to do, new systems being put in to replace old systems without proper training and planning. And then with a review, I was told my communication was bad, which is laughable and that I wasn't resolving issues to the best of my ability! Excuse me, how will this happen without training or knowledge of the system?
Another parent company previously ran this company and has been taken over by another global real estate, development company. Frankly we was hidden away and not informed of this organisation takeover, we was left in the dark! Until we were told in a meeting held by the new company that we have now been taken over by them! This means even more chaos to pursue for this already directionless student accommodation!
It is a very disorganised company without real direction or organisation of daily procedures or tasks.
Managers really do not care about you and just see you as a scapegoat and cheaper labour source for completing tasks that they themselves don't know what to do.
There are many people without the property education needed to perform tasks correctly. I don't know why management are so shocked to see things going wrong. It's clear that lack of strategy, direction , procedures , written documents are all causes of everyday minute issues that should not exist and can be easily remediated.
But no management just wants to have the lowest operational cost.
