Pros

They hire literally everyone they interview because they are unknown as a company

Cons

A lot of politics are in play and it gets very quickly draining - Hint: "Cultural Fit" - lots of gossiping and backstabbing. Strangely, their workflow is very slow - 70% drinking coffee and talking, 30% actually working. Most in upper positions with those skills, would realistically hold a junior level in more serious companies. Beware of the false promises of "future promotions" during interviews. Under those, they will attract most candidates into a junior position.

Stryber Response

Thank you for your feedback. We are really sorry that you had this experience at Stryber and that you left with such bad feelings. However, we feel the need to clarify our view as we think that what you write is not doing justice to all the people who try their very best to create the best possible work environment at Stryber. To start with, becoming a Stryborg is an intense process for both the candidate and the people at Stryber. It's simply not true that we hire "everyone", to the contrary: We invest enormous amounts of time and energy into recruiting, and we unfortunately have to refuse a vast majority of candidates. In the process, we try our best to make sure that the motivation, qualification and expectation of a candidate fit the nature of the role in question as well as of our business and working environment. Also, "cultural fit" is something that we take very seriously: We take every staffing based not only on the requirements of the job but in particular also based on our principles. That's true for hiring, promoting and, sadly, sometimes also for letting someone go. All of these principles are formulated crystal clear and known to everyone inside the organization. One of those principles is "no politics", which is why we take that comment particularly serious. No one at Stryber will ever "backstab" someone. If he or she did, we would immediately let that person go for the reasons outlined above. We will therefore investigate your case further until we're clear what exactly has happened. So again, thank you for your feedback, and we wish you all the best for your further journey. Also, we hope that your harsh feelings with regard to Stryber will sometime make way to a more positive memory of the interactions with our people. - Jan Sedlacek, Co-founder
