Pros

Company may be shutting down and then I won't have to work here anymore.

Cons

New CPO is Damian Creamer's (CEO) wife. It says she has been CPO since 2023, but that's hard for me to understand since we had a Chief of Staff until April 2024 and I hadn't heard anything about a new Chief People Officer during that time. In fact, an office was being renovated for Damian's wife's business (which has since shut down) during that time. So that's confusing to me. And suddenly, new 5 start Glassdoor reviews are coming through. I guess she's doing a good job as PR Officer.

Hi there, I understand this comes from a place of hurt, and I’m truly sorry you’re feeling this way. To clarify, I stepped into the CPO role in January 2025, though I’ve been supporting StrongMind in many different ways for many, many years. When I took on this role, I made the decision to close my personal business in order to fully dedicate myself to StrongMind’s mission and to the wellbeing of our teams. The recent 5-star reviews are a reflection of the changes we’ve been working hard to implement and we are grateful that some team members have taken the time to share their positive experiences. I understand that change can bring questions and that not everyone may feel the impact of that change right away. But I want you to know that my focus is on listening, improving transparency, and helping build a stronger, more supportive working environment from the inside out. And StrongMind is not shutting down. We are continuing to serve students, families, and educators for years to come. I am always open to having a real face to face conversation if you’d like to talk. My door is open. If there’s anything I can do to offer clarity or support for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. -Noelle

Pros

StrongMind was founded by a true entrepreneur who still leads the company today, and that mindset shows up across the organization. Employees have real autonomy in how they work, and ideas are welcomed from every level. It feels like an all-hands-on-deck environment where people can make an impact. The mission is clear and meaningful. There is a strong focus on supporting students and families, which helps guide decisions and keeps internal politics low. The culture is positive and supportive. People are kind, collaborative, and leadership makes an effort to keep employees engaged and connected.

Cons

Like many growing organizations, there are times when priorities evolve quickly as new opportunities emerge. This can occasionally require teams to adjust focus or shift between initiatives. As the company continues to grow, there are opportunities to further streamline processes and maintain consistency across teams.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this! We really appreciate it. I’m so glad the mission, autonomy, and overall vibe are showing through for you. That “jump in and make an impact” energy is exactly what we’re going for around here 😊 And fair call on priorities shifting. We’re growing, and we know that can feel fast at times. We are very dedicated to working on keeping things clearer and more consistent as we continue to scale. We are so grateful to have you on this journey with us and so glad you’re part of StrongMind!
