You will work in run down trailers in the worst part of Wilmington. Andy is all over the place, hecan be nice one day and the next a tyrant. He made racist comments in reference to many of the Hispanic work force, some of which admitted to being illegal. Many of the workers are paid day rate and it was explained to me at times it was illegal because they would make less than the minimum wage. They work more hours than are booked on payroll bc payroll just enters standard hours bc they are “day rate”. This helps to avoid a government entity investigating the problem and most of the employees either don’t know any better or have been in trouble so they cant go anywhere else. Several field guys told me that Andy has been expanding his yard by pushing wood chips into the wetlands behind his yard and illegally expanding the operation...which anyone can see if they walk to the back of the yard. Employees that can leave usually do...the office turnover rate is sky high and Andy has dated or slept with many of the women he hired/brought into the office, many of which have been represented as the office manager/he person. This means you can’t actually file or complain to anyone internally. You will thank me if you avoid working here, it is a disaster because Andy is a terrible person who inherited millions and acts like a child.
