Pros

I met many very talented people at Stride, and we formed close bonds—mainly due to our shared challenges. I gained a lot of skills, and I learned what I value in a job and company.

Cons

- Founders have low empathy / emotional IQ - Founders reward disrespectful, aggressive behaviors - CEO is unwilling to hear feedback - Overly critical, harsh culture. (e.g. cutting down the work of others, distrust in peers, and perfectionism to the point of paralysis) - Low diversity (e.g. Only white men in senior roles, women are only in junior roles, women are not treated respectfully, very few people of color). - Overworked employees - Weak business model

We’re glad to hear you learned and grew when you were here at Stride. While we don’t agree with all of your feedback, a lot of it is valid and we know for sure that there’s room for us to improve the way we communicate as a leadership team - and we are committed to and actively working on that. You’re right: we have hired great people and we plan to hire many more, along with doing a better job of creating clear direction, providing support, and staying out of their way, so they can produce quality work and thrive in their careers. Thanks again for your time here at Stride, we really appreciate everything you did to help us get this far. Gratefully, The People Team
